Police are trying to determine how a man died after he was found in the parking lot of the Home Depot on Route 9 in Howell, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Christopher J. Gramiccioni.
Authorities say The Howell Township Police Department responded to a 911 call at 1:31 p.m. today reporting a man lying on the ground in The Home Depot Plaza parking lot at the corner of Route 9 South and West Farms Road in Howell.
Police found Mr. Weldon Spaulding Jr., 61, of Tinton Falls, deceased at the scene.
An autopsy is expected to be performed on Saturday to determine a cause and manner of death police said.
The joint investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and Howell Township Police Department is active and ongoing.
