The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Narcotics Task Force arrested three individuals on Wednesday, November 6, following a months-long investigation into a large-scale narcotics operation.
The arrests took place after court-authorized search warrants were executed at residences on Kensington Avenue in Jersey City and Hunterdon Street in Newark resulting in the seizure of over 100 grams of suspected cocaine, more than 30 grams of suspected heroin, and various prescription drugs.
Errol Allen, 52, of Jersey City, faces several charges, including operating a controlled substance production facility, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and possession of heroin.
Allen was arrested on Kensington Avenue and later transferred to the Hudson County Correctional Facility, awaiting his initial court appearance.
Alex Darby, 52, of Newark, was also taken into custody and charged with offenses related to drug production and distribution, as well as obstruction of justice.
Darby was detained on Hunterdon Street in Newark and subsequently transported to the Essex County Correctional Facility.
The third individual, Brandon Thomas, 40, of Branchburg, faces similar charges for involvement in the alleged operation.
Thomas was also arrested on Hunterdon Street in Newark and is currently held at the Essex County Correctional Facility, awaiting his first court appearance.
This series of arrests highlights the efforts of the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office to combat illegal narcotics distribution across the region, contributing to ongoing public safety initiatives.
