Three Suspects Arrested After Stolen Vehicle Chase Ends in Linden

Linden Police and other Union County law enforcement agencies took three suspects into custody Friday evening following a motor vehicle crash involving a stolen vehicle.

The incident began at approximately 5:30 p.m. when Linden Central Dispatch was notified of a police pursuit entering the city.AdAccording to preliminary reports, the pursuit was terminated on Route 1 near South Wood Avenue.

Shortly afterward, the stolen vehicle struck a curb near the intersection of South Stiles Street and 21st Street and became disabled.

Linden police said the three occupants of the vehicle fled the scene on foot.

Officers from multiple agencies, including Linden, Elizabeth, Union, Rahway, the Union County Sheriff’s Office, and the New Jersey State Police, quickly responded and apprehended all three suspects after a brief chase.

The incident remains under investigation, but authorities have confirmed that no serious injuries were reported.Ad
