Three Juveniles Accused of Setting NJ Special Needs Playground on Fire

Woodbridge police have arrested three juveniles in connection with Friday’s fire at the playground for special needs students.

According to authorities, police responded to the Matthew Jago School on Aug. 1st at approximately 5:42 p.m., for a report of a fire.

Upon arrival, crews extinguished the blaze that caused more than $100,000 in damage to playground equipment and park facilities.

Following an investigation into the fire, authorities spoke with neighbors and residents of the Sewaren residents who ultimately helped to identify the three juveniles.

Authorities charged them with aggravated arson and malicious mischief.
