Paterson Police Street Crime Unit took three suspects into custody in two separate weapons possession cases in Paterson during the overnight hours.
In the initial incident, at approximately 7 p.m., police attempting to question two suspects in the 40's block of Temple Street engaged in a foot pursuit where they captured the first suspect near Matlock and Clinton streets. A gun was found at that location.
Police say the other suspect was taken into custody during the pursuit and a loaded gun was found in his possession as well.
In the other incident, at approximately 9:30 p.m., police were notified of a male with a weapon on Arch and North 1st streets.
When police canvassed the area for the suspect, they found the assailant with a loaded gun then placed him under arrest without further incident.
Police said
