Newark – Acting Essex County Prosecutor Carolyn A. Murray and Belleville Police Chief Joseph Rotonda announced today that three men have been arrested and charged with the murder of 28-year-old Michael Williams, II, of Newark.
Williams was killed on Oct. 8, outside the Wet Bar in Belleville.
Yanafi Mojica, 31, Armand Padron, 28, and Nathaniel Garcia, 21, all of Elizabeth, have been charged with murder and weapons offenses. Mojica is currently being held on $1 million bail. Padron and Garcia are both being held on $750,000 bail.
All three were arrested without incident. Padron was arrested in Miami, where he remains, pending extradition. The others were taken into custody in New Jersey.
The investigation is active and ongoing. These are accusations. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they enter a guilty plea or are found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
