About a dozen people have been displaced after a raging fire destroyed their residence this morning in Paterson.
The three-alarm fire happened in the 200 block of 12th Avenue shortly before 12:30 a.m. sending firefighters to the scene where upon their arrival they observed the three-story home fully engulfed in flames at 248.
It took firefighters about two hours to bring the blaze under control with crews protecting a church where heavy flames began to threaten.
A search of the house had no injured or trapped occupants.
The cause is under investigation.
