Firefighters in Linden battled a late-night fire that broke out inside a home in the city.
Crews were dispatched to an address in the 800 block of Essex Avenue after receiving reports of a fire at approximately 12:40 a.m.
Firefighters arrived and found heavy flames coming from a two-story siding-framed house.
The intense fire coming from the roof forced firefighters to stretch several lines and activate a second and third alarm for manpower.
The blaze was brought under control in about a half-hour.
Officials reported non-life threatening injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
