A multi-alarm fire that tore through a large house in Bergenfield had firefighters on the scene battling flames.
According to fire officials, fire broke out at 107 Bergen Avenue, just before 1:30 a.m., sending Bergenfield firefighters and police to the scene where they found heavy fire throughout the house upon their arrival.
Crews quickly activated a second, then a third alarm after flames began to extend to neighboring homes officials said.
Firefighters conducted an aggressive interior attack that knocked down heavy fire from all side of the first floor within minutes.
Officials say mutual aid companies assisted in knocking down remaining interior fire and checking for extension.
There were no injuries reported, but officials say the house is a total loss and what caused the fire is under investigation.
Municipalities providing mutual aid at the scene were Tenafly, Dumont, Teaneck, and Englewood.
