Police in Newark are investigating two bomb threats targeted at an elementary and a high school on Tuesday morning.
Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said just before 9:45 a.m., police responded to Park Elementary School, located at 120 Manchester Place, on a call of an explosive device at the school.
Director O’Hara said units searched the building, and no device was located. No injuries associated with this incident have been reported.
According to Director O’Hara, in the other incident, at approximately 10:40 a.m. Newark Police responded to Technology High School, located at 223 Broadway, also on a call of an explosive device at the school.
Police arrived and searched the school but did not locate any suspicious items.
No injuries associated with this incident have been reported. Both incidents remain under investigation.
