The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has been requested to the scene of a shooting incident with a male injured in Paterson at this time.
For the third person shot in Paterson in less than 8 hours, officials at St. Joseph’s Medical Center notified police when a male entered the emergency room suffering bullet wounds to his chest around 7:35 a.m.
The victim informed Paterson Police officers that gunfire struck him near 107 Park Avenue before arriving at the hospital.
Officers canvassing the area confirmed that they found a crime scene, but no other injuries were reported.
Paterson authorities reported shootings in the 300 block of Main Street and the 100 block of East 23rd overnight.
The three incidents do not appear to be connected.
