Authorities in Atlantic County announced that detectives from the ACPO have arrested and charged Fuquan Moore, 20, of Pleasantville, for the December 5, murder of Atlantic City resident Timothy Council, Jr.
According to officials, he has been lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Atlantic City Police say on Monday, December 5, 2022, at approximately 10:52 p.m., officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert notification at 655 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City.
Officers responded to find Atlantic City resident Timothy Council Jr., 27, wounded by apparent gunfire.
According to the Police, Mr. Council was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased.
Police say the Southern Regional Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy of Timothy Council, Jr. and has determined his cause of death to be a single gunshot wound. The cause of death was deemed a homicide.
Previously charged in the same homicide are Oquan Thomas, 18, and a 17-year-old juvenile, both of Atlantic City.
According to authorities, Thomas is charged with first-degree Murder, first-degree Conspiracy to Commit Murder, second-degree Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and second-degree Possession of a Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose
This is an active and cooperative investigation by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
