Police are on the search for a suspect who lurked around a car wash on Wednesday morning and stole a vehicle as it made its way out of the wash area.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened at the 24 Seven Car Wash that is located at the intersection of Court Street and Washington Street shortly before 9:30 a.m. when a male suspect was standing around the establishment's drying area.
The suspect reportedly jumped into a black Highlander SUV and sped off westbound on Court Street then northbound on Martin Luther King Boulevard Boulevard according to reports.
The vehicle has a reported NJ license plate number "HHB-6801".
Witnesses described the suspect as a light skin black male who was last seen wearing blue jeans, white sneakers, and an orange bubble coat.
Police are investigating.
