As we wake up on this Thanksgiving Day in Newark and North Jersey, the weather brings with it a promise of clear skies and comfortable temperatures.
It's the perfect backdrop for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, expected to be a spectacular event in Herald Square, NYC.
Early morning temperatures in the Harrison, Newark, and Kearny areas are around 50 degrees, providing a mild start to the day. However, as spectators gather to watch Tom Turkey, Snoopy, and dozens of colorful balloons at the Macy's parade, a warm coat is recommended, given the cool breeze.According to The National Weather Service, the forecast for the day predicts sunny skies with a high near 53 and a northwest wind of 8 to 11 mph.
As families gather for Thanksgiving feasts in the evening, the weather will remain pleasant with clear conditions and a low of around 38, accompanied by a gentle west wind of about 7 mph.
With the weather cooperating, it's shaping up to be a perfect day for parades and festivities across the region.
Happy Thanksgiving from all of us here at RLS Media/Metro Breaking News!
