Authorities in Union County are investigating a Thanksgiving evening shooting in Elizabeth that left one person injured.Police were dispatched to the 20 block of South Broad Street shortly before 6:25 p.m. following reports of an injured individual.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim across from the firehouse, suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to University Hospital for treatment, though their condition has not been disclosed.
Investigators are working to determine whether the incident is connected to a carjacking reported earlier in the area of Marshall and 4th Street.
No arrests have been made, and the investigation remains active.Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Elizabeth Police Department or Union County authorities.
