There is an active investigation underway into a pedestrian strike that left a juvenile injured this evening in Newark.
Emergency responders rushed to the I-280 ramp on 1st Street where they found the 19-year-old suffering severe injuries after a car struck him at that location.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has been called to the scene to assist in the investigation.
The driver of the car reportedly stayed at the scene.
