Jersey City Police are investigating an overnight shooting that left a teenage boy injured in a city's neighborhood.
Gunfire erupted in the 400 block of Bramhall Avenue at around 12:35 a.m. sending police to the scene where officers found the boy suffering multiple gunshot wounds at that location.
EMS rushed the victim -around the age 17-years-old- to Jersey City Medical Center where doctors reportedly treated him for non-life threatening injuries.
Officers at the crime scene searched the area for a 5'6" black male suspect who wore dark clothing when he ran from the scene. The shooting suspect was accompanied by at least one other male suspect according to reports.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
