Police departments in Newark and Edison are looking for a teenaged girl who left her residence in Edison and has not been seen since early May.
According to a brief statement released by The Edison Police Department, they are actively looking for **Jalaysia Staplar-Evans, 14,** who went missing on May 3, 2018.
Police say Jalaysia is believed to be in Newark. RLS Metro platform members say that they have observed a person fitting the description of Jalaysia, on numerous occasions, in the vicinity of South 10th Street and Springfield Avenue on Monday at 1 a.m.
The individual/s that Jalaysia is possibly staying with may not know that she is declared missing and being sought by multiple police departments according to reports.
