Police are investigating a pedestrian strike that left a teenage boy injured in Newark's North Ward on Thursday afternoon.
It happened at approximately 3:15 p.m. in the teens block of 2nd Avenue near Wakeman Avenue where emergency responders were alerted to an injured person.
Crews arrived at the scene and found a 16-year-old boy on the ground suffering a leg and arm injury after a vehicle struck him at that location.
EMS transported the victim to the hospital where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the car stayed at the scene and cooperated with police.
The incident remains under investigation.
