Police are investigating a crash involving a taxi cab that happened late last night in the city's North Ward.
According to reports, the driver of the cab picked up a customer shortly before the crash who began to choke him from the rear seat of the vehicle in an attempted robbery.
The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle on Broadway and 2nd Ave., crashing into an unoccupied vehicle at that location.
The suspect fled the scene after the crash. The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash according to a company official.
There were no other injuries reported.
