EMS responded to the scene of a carjacking that had suspects take a vehicle from a taxi driver then cause some injury to the driver.
According to preliminary reports, the incident happened in the area of Avon Avenue and Johson Avenue before 2 a.m. where police were called to the scene for reports of a carjacking in progress.
Two black male suspects reported took the victim's Lincoln Towncar taxi then fled the scene.
Officers canvassing the area found the vehicle a short time later crashed at the end of a Johson Avenue which is a dead end street.
There were no immediate reports of the weapons produced.
The victim's injuries were not reported as life threatening.
