U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger reported that a Sussex County man has been sentenced to more than 12 years in prison for his role in a drug trafficking organization that distributed methamphetamine. Physical TherapyFederal officials said Steven R. Kristiansen, 54, of Byram Township, had previously pleaded guilty before U.S. Circuit Judge Stephanos Bibas to five-count information, which included charges of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, distribution, and possession of methamphetamine, and possession of ammunition by a convicted felon.

Judge Bibas imposed the sentence on September 20, 2024, in Camden federal court.

According to court documents and statements made during the proceedings, in early 2022, law enforcement identified Kristiansen as a member of a drug trafficking organization involved in the distribution of methamphetamine. Between January 14 and January 18, 2022, Kristiansen sold over 60 grams of methamphetamine to an undercover police officer.

A week later, on January 25, law enforcement executed search warrants at Kristiansen’s residence and vehicle, where they recovered more than 50 grams of methamphetamine and ammunition.

Kristiansen's sentence reflects the serious nature of the charges and his involvement in the drug trade, officials said.Physical Therapy
