A suspicious unattended handbag left on the campus of Essex County College had authorities evacuate the entire campus this morning.
The backpack that was located on the campus at around 11:15 a.m. had authorities call for immediate evacuation and assistance from the Essex County Bomb Squad who reportedly deemed the back safe shortly before noon.
Campus police were also joined by a host of other law enforcement agencies during the investigation.
The incident remains under investigation.
