Police are investigating a report of a suspicious package left in the playground of the North Arlington middle school this morning.
According to preliminary reports, officers were called to the North Arlington Middle School, located 45 Beech Street, sometime around 8:30 a.m. for a report of a suspicious package.
Witnesses told police that a man reportedly dressed as a woman left a suitcase in the school’s playground and walked away.
The bomb squad has been called to the scene.
The person who reportedly left in a white vehicle - possibly a mustang - has police searching the area.
