Authorities in Atlantic County announced that on June 5, 2024, at approximately 10:09 a.m., the Atlantic City Police Department responded to 3 South Raleigh Avenue, 2nd-floor apartment, Atlantic City, for a welfare check.
Officials stated that Janessa L. Morgan, a 29-year-old female, was located inside the residence and was unresponsive with no pulse.
A pronouncement nurse pronounced Morgan deceased at the scene, officials said.
According to officials, the cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy by the South Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
This incident is currently being investigated by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department, authorities say.
