Authorities in Newark request the public’s help in identifying the suspects who robbed a jewelry store on August 24, 2024.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé stated that at approximately 1:40 p.m., four Black males entered Brick City Gold, a jewelry store in the 100 block of Market Street.
They had hammers and smashed the display cases, taking custom-made jewelry before fleeing in a Ford Explorer SUV, officials stated.
According to officials, the suspects, described as 5’5” to 5’9,” wore black clothing, ski masks, and gloves.
Three suspects have a thin build, and the fourth suspect is heavy-set, officials said.
Officials say Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspects’ identity and locating the vehicle to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
