Newark police are reaching out to the public for help in identifying two suspects involved in a home invasion robbery on Monday, January 1, 2024.
The incident occurred around 3:15 p.m. at a residence on Boston Street near South Orange Avenue. The male victim, responding to a knock at his door, was confronted by a Hispanic male and a Black female.The female suspect attacked the victim with pepper spray, enabling both suspects to enter the home. Once inside, they stole the victim's wallet, which contained two credit cards, a driver's license, and $20.00 in cash.
The suspects then fled the scene, heading westbound onto South Orange Avenue.
Director Fragé is urging anyone with information about the identity of either suspect to contact the Newark Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
The police hope that with the community's assistance, they can quickly identify and apprehend these suspects to ensure public safety.
