Newark Police are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying suspects involved in a recent credit card theft.The theft occurred between Friday, December 29, 2023, and Sunday, December 31, 2023, from a vehicle parked on the 900 block of 18th Avenue.
The victim reported that their vehicle was burglarized, and a wallet containing a driver's license, debit cards, credit cards, a toy drone, and $30.00 in cash was stolen.
Detectives investigating the case have obtained footage showing three suspects using the victim's credit card at a McDonald's located at 915 18th Avenue.
After leaving the fast-food restaurant, the suspects were seen entering a newer model Hyundai Elantra and heading eastbound on 18th Avenue towards Irvington. Director Fragé is urging anyone with information about the identities of these suspects to contact the Newark Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
The Newark Police hope that with the community's help, they can apprehend these individuals and bring them to justice.
