Police in Newark are on the search for a set of thieves that entered a business in the city and robbed the establishment on Monday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to a convenience store located at 268 South 11th Street at approximately 7:20 p.m. after receiving reports of a robbery in progress.
Units arriving at the scene were told that two males entered the store and announced a robbery with weapons drawn.
The suspects reportedly took an unknown amount of proceeds before fleeing the scene in a black two-door Dodge Challenger with reported NJ license plate numbers "T66-KLY."
The vehicle was reported carjacked at gunpoint on Monday.
There were no physical injuries reported in the store robbery.
The investigation remains active and ongoing. The suspects remain at-large.
