Newark Public Safety officials are requesting the public’s help in identifying the suspects involved in a knifepoint robbery and attack on July 12.
The incident occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m. in the 300 block of Lafayette when two Black males approached the victim.
Director Frage said one of the men, wearing dark clothing and a beard, pulled out a knife and began fighting with the victim.
The other suspect grabbed the victim’s leg, and both men rifled through his pockets, taking a cell phone and wallet.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction but were captured on surveillance video near Ferry and Polk Streets minutes before the robbery.

All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
