There is a search for the drivers of two stolen cars wanted for a crash in Newark's North Ward on Friday evening.
Newark Police officials were notified of two cars that were erratically speeding around the city's North Ward.
The drivers reached speeds of up to 80-90 mph while performing stunts and donuts on several streets.
Police say the vehicles slammed into a civilian car near the intersection of Summer and 7th avenues before bailing from the stolen vehicles around 8:20 p.m.
Officers from the Essex County Sheriff's Office and Newark Police received aerial coverage from NPD-1 in their search for the suspects who led police on a foot pursuit through the neighborhoods.
Police detained a person but eventually released the individual after they could not confirm if the person was associated with the crime.
Authorities reported non-life-threatening injuries and no arrests during the incident.
