An early morning carjacking that happened in the city's Ironbound section has police on the search for suspects.
According to reports, police were called to the 400 block of Walnut Street at around 2 a.m. where they were approached by the victims who reported that two black males who were in possession of flash lights and identified themselves as police officers, ordered them from the vehicle at that location.
The victims said that the suspects shined the lights in their faces before ordering them to exit the vehicle.
When the victims complied, the suspects entered the vehicle and drove off according to the victims.
Police are looking for a red Ford Taurus that was taken by the suspects.
There were no reports of a weapon being shown.
A license plate number on the vehicle was not immediately available.
