Newark authorities request the public’s assistance with identifying a suspect in a theft from an auto incident that occurred on Wednesday, November 16.
According to officials, on Wednesday, surveillance video captured a suspect entering an unlocked vehicle, removing a cell phone and approximately two hundred and fifty dollars ($250) in U.S. currency on the 100 block of North 11th Street.
Officials say that the suspect fled the area on foot, walking southbound on North 11th Street toward 6th Avenue.
The suspect is male with a medium brown complexion and dark hair.
According to officials, the suspect wore a dark-colored jacket and a light-colored shirt under the jacket at the time of the incident.
While police are actively searching for the suspect, they seek the public’s assistance in identifying this individual.
