Newark Police officials seek the public’s help identifying a suspect wanted in connection with a theft from an auto that occurred Sunday, May 15.
Officials said just after 9:15 a.m.., police responded to the area of Salem Street near Rockland Terrace on a call of a theft from an automobile.
The suspect entered the victim’s vehicle and stole a pink wallet, containing $40.00, two credit cards, and a driver’s license.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.
He is described as a Black male, wearing no shirt, a black jacket, and camouflage pants.
Director O’Hara urges anyone with information about this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
