Police in Newark seeks the public’s help in identifying a man being sought in connection with an armed robbery that occurred earlier this afternoon.’
According to police, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the 200-block of Park Avenue on a robbery call.
Police say a male suspect entered a delivery truck and demanded the driver’s money and personal possessions at gunpoint.
Police say the suspect fled east on Park Avenue and entered a gray Nissan Juke.
The vehicle was last seen heading south 6th Street.
The suspect is described as 35 years old, 5’8” tall with a dark complexion, wearing a bald head and a full beard.
Police say he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black shorts.
Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s assistance in quickly identifying this suspect and removing him from our streets.
