Police officials in Newark request the public’s assistance in identifying the below-pictured suspect in a robbery that occurred on Thursday, August 1st.
Police say at approximately 12 p.m., a 78-year old man inside a supermarket at 810 N. 6th Street, was robbed of his cell phone by a male who ran, heading towards Heller Parkway.
According to police, the victim suffered a minor injury during a struggle with the suspect and arrived at Clara Maass Medical Center for treatment.
The suspect is described as wearing a black t-shirt with an Adidas logo, gray sweat pants, white hat with a black brim and a full beard according to police.
While police are actively searching for this suspect, they seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him so that he can be removed from Newark streets.
