Authorities in Newark requests the public’s help in identifying the suspect who assaulted a victim following an argument on August 8.Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé states at approximately 2:50 a.m., the victim boarded the No. 25 NJ Transit bus and the suspect said something to the victim that he did not like.
Officials said a verbal altercation ensued until the bus reached Broad and Market Streets.
The victim exited the bus, and the suspect punched him in the face several times, authorities say.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
