Newark Police reported shots fired after ShotSpotter detected gun shots, they found a suspect believed to be involved.
According to authorities, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé requests the public’s help with identifying the suspect.
They were captured on surveillance video discharging a firearm on August 28.
Police responded to the 200 block of Stuyvesant Avenue after the ShotSpotter Activation system detected that shots were fired at around 1:26 a.m.
When officers arrived, they located two spent 9mm shell casings along with a live 9mm round on Commonwealth and Stuyvesant avenues.
