Newark Police said an arrest warrant has been issued for Mr. Jeff Napier, 41, of Newark, who is wanted for burglary when he broke into an automobile and stole a personal item from the vehicle’s owner on March 8.
Police responded to a call about a burglary that occurred around 2:20 a.m. in the 100 block of Main Street.
When they arrived, the owner of the vehicle told officers that his car had been broken into.
Police said the suspect, identified as Napier, was captured on surveillance video breaking the front passenger window with an unknown object and taking a gym bag. Napier then ran south toward Kossuth Street.
Napier, 41, is a 6’0’’ Black male who weighs 190 pounds and has brown eyes, black hair, and a dark complexion.
