Newark Police are calling for public assistance in identifying a male suspect involved in a shooting that took place on Sunday, December 3, 2023.The incident, which resulted in two men being injured, occurred around 7:38 p.m. in the area of Irvine Turner Boulevard.
Upon receiving reports of shots fired in the 100 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard, police officers quickly responded to the scene.
They found one male shooting victim in the 100 block of Livingston Street.
Police said a second male victim was discovered on the 100 block of Irvine Turner Boulevard. Both victims were transported to University Hospital for medical treatment and are reportedly in stable condition.
The suspect in this case has been described as a Black male dressed entirely in black clothing, with distinctive red and black sneakers and a red and black scarf.
He was also carrying a red crossover bag. Investigators have noted that the suspect is known to frequent the areas around 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard.
Director Fragé of the Newark Police Department has urged anyone with information about the suspect's identity to come forward.
