Newark Police is requesting the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection with an armed business robbery that occurred on Friday, July 15.
Police said at approximately 3:37 a.m., the suspect entered the Comfort Suites Hotel at 1348 McCarter Highway, brandished a handgun, and stole $350.00 from the register.
The suspect then fled in an unknown direction.
Detectives investigating this incident seek the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of their investigation.
According to police, the suspect is described as a black male, 5'8" to 5'10" tall, with a heavy build, saggy chest, and a medium-to-dark brown complexion.
Police say he wore a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and well-worn black boots.
