Newark authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated assault that took place on Saturday, January 18.
According to information released by the Newark Police Department, the incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. near Court Street and Nevada Street, where a male suspect struck another man with a closed fist before kicking him in the face following a dispute.
The suspect was last seen wearing a black jacket and gray sweatpants.
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. is urging anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to contact the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
