Police in Newark are searching for a suspect wanted for attempting to rob a business in the city's North ward Monday evening.
Newark Police responded to reports of a robbery in progress at 672 Mount Prospect Avenue (Discount Liquor Store) around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, police learned that a black male suspect entered the establishment armed with a knife and threatened to rob the liquor store.
According to reports, the black male suspect, who wore a white jacket, fled the scene on foot but did not take any cash from the store.
Police say no physical injuries were reported.
