Suspect at Large After Early Morning Stabbing in Paterson

Police in Paterson are investigating a violent early morning stabbing that left one person injured and a suspect on the run.

Around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the area of 11 Wayne Avenue following reports of a stabbing. 

Upon arrival, police found an unidentified individual with a neck wound and immediately requested EMS to expedite response.

The victim was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center for treatment. Their condition has not been publicly released.

Authorities are actively searching for a suspect described as a Hispanic man wearing a dark-colored jacket, a white shirt stained with blood, and jeans. 

The motive behind the attack remains under investigation.
