Suspect Broke Into Newark South Ward Home’s Bedroom, Stole Safe and Sneakers

The Newark Police Department is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a burglary that took place on Friday, July 5.Ad

The incident occurred at approximately 2:15 p.m. at a residence on Winans Avenue near Bergen Street.

According to police, the victim reported that the bedroom door was locked from the inside, and an air conditioning unit was hanging from the window.

Upon entering through the window, the victim discovered the closet had been ransacked.

 

Among the stolen items were a safe containing personal identification and an extra car key, a pair of Jordan Bred 11 sneakers, and an olive green Gucci belt.Ad
