One person was taken into custody after police found the suspect with a loaded weapon in is possession in Newark's South Ward Tuesday evening.
According to preliminary reports, police conducting an investigation near 27 Johnson Avenue found the suspect with a loaded weapon just before 7:30 p.m.
Police say the suspect was arrested and charged without further incident.
A crime scene unit was called to the sense to assist in the investigation and photograph the weapon according to reports.
