Franklin Township authorities are on the search for a suspect who demanded cash from the register of a supermarket using a note that he delivered to a cashier Saturday evening.
According to officials, police are looking for a black male suspect who wore all black when he entered the Stop and Shop Supermarket located at 1221 NJ-27 and passed a cashier a note that stated that he was armed with a gun and to hand over cash.
The suspect took about $1200 worth of proceeds before he ran from the scene.
Police say the suspect is approximately 5'8" tall and in his early 20's.
The man was last observed wearing a black snow type hat, a dark colored jacket, and black pants.
There were no physical injuries reported.
