A 51-year-old Newark man was arrested in connection with an aggravated assault stabbing that occurred last night in Newark.
According to police, at approximately 10:30 p.m., police responded to the 100-block of Roseville Avenue on a call of a person stabbed.
Upon arrival, police found a 40-year-old male stabbed authorities said.
EMS rushed the man to University Hospital where he is listed in critical condition at this time.
Detectives developed sufficient evidence to identify **Mr. Tony McNair**as a suspect in this aggravated assault.
McNair was arrested today without incident and charged with Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations lodged against Mr. McNair.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
