Police are looking for the suspect wanted for a robbery and assault that happened overnight on a Newark Central Ward street.

The incident happened at around 1 a.m. this morning -Sunday- where a male suspect approached the victim and began to rob him shortly before striking the victim in the face with his fist.
The victim suffered non-life threatening injuries. Police believe that the suspect is wanted for attacking a woman, in the same manner, a short time later.
Police are actively investigating.
