As the area continues to thaw from Tuesday's light snowfall, locals can expect a day of cold brilliance, with potential refreezing that could make some walkways slick.
The National Weather Service forecasts a sunny Christmas Day with a high near 34 degrees. While it is certainly cold, the sun promises a bright day ahead.
Thanks to a gentle north wind blowing at around six mph, wind chill values are expected to range between 20 and 30 degrees. As night falls, the skies will turn partly cloudy, and temperatures will drop to around 23 degrees.
Residents celebrating the holidays are advised to dress warmly if they plan to venture outdoors. The crisp and invigorating weather offers a perfect backdrop for a peaceful and sunny end to the year.
